The Google Pixel Watch 2 just crashed to a record-low price at Amazon

Just ahead of the upcoming Labor Day sales event, the Google Pixel Watch 2 has dropped to its lowest price yet, nearly two weeks after the launch of its successor, the Pixel Watch 3. Most Pixel Watch 2 colors are available, including black, hazel (gray), and bay active (light blue). Unfortunately, the porcelain colorway isn’t included. As mentioned earlier, the price drop…

Google set to face class-action lawsuit over data collection in Chrome

Google will have to answer in court allegations of collecting users’ private information inside its Chrome browser without their permission following a new ruling. A US federal appeals court has reversed a previous dismissal of the case Calhoun v. Per The Verge, at the heart of the case is the allegation that Google harvested data on users of…

How censorship is breaking the internet in Pakistan

Pakistanis have been battling painfully slow internet connections for almost a month – an incident that strikes a hard blow to the national economy. While the problem is certainly undeniable, it isn’t yet clear who’s to blame for it. Experts hold the government responsible for Pakistan’s internet downfall, accusing authorities of actively building a China-style firewall.  Government representatives, however, strongly dismissed the allegations. Their official statement instead blames citizens’ increased usage of the best VPN apps to bypass online geo-restrictions. Since February, people in Pakistan haven’t been able to access…

As AI changes cyber forever, training is the key to keeping pace

Artificial intelligence is already changing professional working patterns across almost every industry. It has the power to drastically reduce the time we spend on routine tasks and free us up to think more strategically in our day-to-day professional lives. This is no different for the IT and cybersecurity sector – at ISACA, our survey of business and IT professionals in Europe found that almost three quarters (73%) of the businesses we surveyed reported that their staff use AI at work. Ring’s new video doorbell offers premium features for an entry-level price

Ring has launched a new entry-level battery-operated video doorbell with features like full-height video that you’d previously only find in much more expensive models.  In terms of specs, the new Ring Battery Doorbell is similar to the Ring Battery Doorbell Plus, which launched last year. That includes head-to-toe HD video with a 150-degree by 150-degree field of view so you can get a proper view of the person at your door. The wide field of view also makes it easier to see packages left on the ground, which is particularly…

The company is holding in-person events in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen, or you can audition virtually by recording a video of yourself…

YouTube is now way more popular than Netflix and Disney Plus on smart TVs –here’s how they compare

Competitors in the Paris Olympics weren’t the only ones breaking records last month – streaming services were setting PBs, too. And the standout star on smart TVs was YouTube, which is now comfortably eclipsing the likes of Netflix according to a fascinating new report. Nielsen’s The Gauge tracks viewing across all key platforms in the US on TV screens (smartphones, tablets and laptops aren’t included). In July, streaming TV accounted for a record-breaking 41.4% of all TV viewing, breaking the previous record that had just been set this June. But the…

Asus provides another clue that AMD’s Ryzen 9000X3D CPUs could be here soon – which would be seriously bad news for Intel

Asus has prematurely listed AMD’s Ryzen 9000X3D processors on its microsite for incoming 800 series motherboards, in what’s another hint that next-gen 3D V-Cache CPUs might be here sooner than expected. As VideoCardz noticed, the site lists X870 (and X870E), B850 and B840 motherboards for Ryzen 9000 (second-gen AM5 boards still based on the same socket that was introduced with Ryzen 7000). However, the telling bit here is that the site mentions ‘Ryzen 9000X3D’ in numerous places, or it did anyway – that no longer seems to be the case.…
