Flagship experience – super fast charging, value for money
I got this device for 33k (ICICI discount + exchange), booked it on 3rd March and received by 5th (the 3k bonus exchange didn’t work despite the offer listed on product page banner. I can’t open the T&C page too. You disappoint me here Amazon! atleast remove the banner so it isn’t misleading).Since I’m upgrading from MiA3 (stock android) to IQOO 9 (FunTouch OS), here are my initial impressions.1. Display âââââVery nice and the 120hz is a cherry on top. I could find more visible colors in Netflix content. Good quality display panel.2. Superfast charging âââââ( 5+ for charging):Comes bundled with a 120W charger which is simply AMAZING!, 0-95% in 16 mins. Battery lasts a day on average use, not impressive but doesn’t bother me thanks to superfast charging. Perhaps there are ways to optimize it3. Design/Build âââââThe phone does look and feel premium. But I do miss my A3 compactness. The phone’s dimensions are similar to S22+ a factor convinced me to go ahead.4. Audio âââââIt has stereo speakers which is loud enough and less distorted. Good quality sound5. Performance âââââIt is snappy and I find OS closer to stock android experience. It does come with bunch of bloatware’s which I’ve removed and not bothered to sign in.6. Camera ââââRear camera is above average, selfies are good. I’m not a camera-centric person so it didn’t bother7. Heating ââââI think this is subjective. Here’s my thought, I tried Genshin impact and Runeterra with max settings, after 30+ mins the phone did get warm but there were no frame drops and gameplay was smooth. I believe this is fairly decent. A heating issue/concern in my opinion is for e.g; my previous MiA3 cant bear runeterra, it gets hot (I get fear it will explode) plus lags alot (Mind you MiA3 is not a gaming phone). But then I’m not an avid gamer so it wasn’t concerning to me. I’ll try BGMI and update in a couple of daysFor a user who’d like to experience superfast charging, a very nice & bright display, casual gamer can go for it. The phone does get warm when playing longer duration, in my opinion its normal for any phone.FYI, its Android 12 out of the box we’ll get 2 yrs of major updates and 3 yrs security updates.I chose IQOO9 from a pool of following phones and happy with my buying decision. Its a Value for money buy.OPPO reno 7 5g, Vivo v23 & 23 pro, Oneplus 9RT, S21 FE, Zenfone 8z.

Over-all Best premium phone with all that I want.
Overall its best premium budget phone. I’ve upgraded from Oneplus 7 and compared to that its definitely an upgrade as I’ve spent same amount as on iqoo 9 i.e. 35k 3 years back.1. Camera – it has good camera setup, gives sharp images, 2x is very good and gives better quality and colour pics. Main camera photos are very sharp and has natural colours so you have apply some filter to make them eye pleasant before posting anywhere. The details are also very good. Ultrawide gives same quality photos as 2x and doesn’t require filters for that.2. Performance is very good. BGMI can be played at 90 fps but i use smooth with extreme settings with 2x antialiasing. Half hour drops battery by 11%. I’ve played 3 hours 15 mins continuously and there was no drop in performance. Heating was there but my OP7 also had same level of heating but not that much and can be played with. One thing i noticed is u can’t use charger while playing games at 120w and charging is limited to normal speeds like 10w charger does. Once the phone cools down 120w resumes and charges phone in mere minutes. Other than that ther is no lag in performance all things works very fast and fine.3. Screen – Screen is very good and gives very good colours. 10 bit diffrence is seen from OP7.Refresh rate however feels a gimmick to me as sometimes when scrolling through touch gets missed while screen is in motion and can only be used when a page settles. Although once You get used to 120 fps u can’t go back to 60fps as animations feel laggy but touch is snappier at 60fps. So I’d suggest using smart switch option.4. Battery- Charging is awesome only takes minutes to charge the phone. As i mostly charge my device fro near about 30%. Sometimes when i get home from office the phone charges during just changing clothes to full.About battery backup it gives 6-7 hours of Screen on time on an average. I’ve attached screenshots of backup that I’m getting. As I’ve estimated You can play 4.5 hours continuously BGMI at 60fps. So during movies and videos it will last even more. Casually it lasts a day so no worries with some charge left and can be charged within 15 mins which is awesome. Lastly standby time is also very good.5. UI- the UI is good. Don’t give unnecessary permissions to phone and apps. Never open browser app and use chrome instead and abolish all permissions of browser app and avoid using any in-built apps linked to iqoo. I’ve removed all bloatware and haven’t seen any adds or recommendations.6. Sound – sound is good not too loud or smashy.Overall iqoo 9 ticks all the requirements like good camera, very good performance, excellent charging, good battery backup, very good display and looks premium. So I’d say its definitely worth your Money and you’ll enjoy using it.After 2 Months and Android 13 Review -1. Everything works fine no problem in performance or anything.2. Battery backup remains the same almost negligible difference. I’d suggest using dark mode to increase battery backup to get more 1-2 hrs of screen on time (SOT). I’m getting 9hrs+ SOT with dark mode without gaming and for gaming remains the same.3. Few more options are added like extra dim and vowifi in quick notification toggle. More colour pellets can be used in customisation options to improve overall UI aesthetics.4. Camera quality remains the same no changes. All is good and can definitely be updated to Android 13.Thanks ðð

Best phone in the segment
Got it for 36k with all offers(no exchange)at this price you get all of the ultra high end specs you will ever need. Games load near instantly, animations are smooth, memory management is excellent, overall camera setup is quite excellent compared to competitors who are using 2mp macro and depth sensors.Other than that, the display is crisp and so fluid, you will be completely satisfied with it.Battery life is also excellent but be aware, first charge cycle you wont get good battery life, I got sot of around 6 hrs after first charge, after that I got SOT of more than 7 hours with 60-80 mins of medium gaming and 120hz refresh rate locked and always on display turned on.And also the charger is super fast, expect 0-100 in about 19 minutes which is crazy for the price!!Even I was hesitant at first due to some bad reviews regarding heating, I only faced heating issue during first day, after that it has stopped heating up. Maybe it was due to first time setup of the phone. Phone runs cool and smooth now and I have no complaints. Go for it guys, if you can get it under 40k.Pros:Top of the line specsBuild quality is amazing, feels like a flagship with the aluminum frame and glass back.Excellent battery lifeFluid 10 bit amoled displayGreat rear camera setup(gimbal camera setup with 13 mp wide and 13mp 2x telephoto lens!)Android 12 out of the box and funtouch os is quite fun!Cons1. front cam can only record 1080p 30 which can be deal breaker for some but idc about front video recording, rear videos are excellent.
